I walk the path of deer in deep woods and of chamois across rocky outcrops. I walk and sing to trees and fly with raven over sacred territory. And here I paint.

I have learnt languages, deeply, and painting is the one, truly mine. 

Out in nature, wild and untamed, through the act of painting I connect with reality and allow it to manifest itself in paint. What was invisible becomes visible, what could hardly be felt, finds its expression, and can now be experienced by all, can now unfold its energies, its uplifting energies, to all who behold the painting with an open heart and an open mind.

Northern Europe is my home, the nations don't matter, – the mountains, the coasts, the woods, the oaks, the ever-changing weather, the cold, the rain and snow, and the glorious sunshine when it finally arrives, they do. The stories that are embedded in these lands, the ones I do not know and am connected to, the presence of peoples untold – Stone Age women, wise women, shamans –  they all matter and disclose themselves in the paintings.

In a world, busy, indoors and awash with digital attractions, my paintings speak to our wild bodily selves, and nurture our hearts, our souls and our minds.
